System files

The following System files are used by CADplot to control user choices when plotting a drawing:

 

Queues.ini

Associates printer queues with printer types and provides descriptions of the queues. The Queues control where the output is sent.

Types.ini

Associates printer types with sheet size, border size and plot style table's combinations i.e. how the drawing will be plotted.

Settings.ini

Contains user-interface (UI) defaults that are common to check and issue plotting

CheckSettings.ini

Contains 'Check Plot' defaults

IssueSettings.ini

Contains 'Issue Plot' defaults

Substitution.ini

Contains characters that will be substituted when naming a file.

Filters.ini

Contains filter defaults for post-processing AutoCAD output files e.g. .PDF writing

Environment.ini

Used to automatically set-up the PC's environmental variables for filters.

DBSchema.ini

Used by the plot logging

 

Note:

Until you start to make full use of CADplot's features you will only have to configure the Queues.ini file.
