How to switch Project Workspaces

MicroStation can be set to behave differently depending on the needs of a project.  Switching modes is achieved by selecting the appropriate project workspace at the MicroStation Manager window (see red box below).

Note:

 

1)It’s also possible to launch MicroStation directly into a specific project workspace via a shortcut.  See below.

2)Caution:  MicroStation files opened by double-clicking design files in Windows Explorer or Columbus will result in the last project workspace used being employed.  This may or may not be correct!

3)A ‘beta’ CADtools launcher is available by contacting [email protected]. If CADtools is launched by double-clicking a file, the launcher will attempt to identify the correct project workspace based the directory location of the file.
