Navigation:  General Features > Refresh Family Icons

You can use this tool to generate Families thumbnails. Only those families in the project will be generated.

 

 

Refresh - will generate thumbnails for families (only pick up families that do not have thumbnail generated yet)

Refresh All - will remove all thumbnails generated and regenerate them again

Clear - will remove all thumbnails generated

 

The icons data are embedded into the Revit file so the icons you have generated can also be used by other people.
