Bentley Structural Modeller > Introduction

This document has been written to assist Arup staff in using Bentley Structural in a manner which benefits from the experience gained by other Arup groups around the world. It is not designed to be a training manual for Bentley Structural, first-time users should consult the ‘Introduction to Bentley Structural’ or ‘Drawing Production with Bentley Structural’ training module available from the Bentley ETS website if they have access, or investigate attending a Bentley led training course.

As with most complex software there are a number of ways to accomplish most things, each with inherit upsides and downsides. This document attempts to distil the ‘best-practice’ experience which has been used to guide the creation of CADtools Structural, and introduce some specific features that have been added.
