Concrete

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Due to current limitations in the resymbolisation rules that Structural can apply, some concrete members should be modelled in special ways.

When drawing members that you wish to automatically annotate, then these must be modelled as ‘Structural’ elements rather than ‘Triforma’ elements.  Unfortunately currently some tools only create ‘Triforma’ elements, so to model a pad footing that has automatic annotation, you must model it as a ‘short fat column’.  This is achieved by making the desired cross-section size available in the Structural_Shapes file for that project, and then using the ‘Place Concrete Column’ tool.
