CADtools_AutoCAD_DrgManagement_DrgSettings_32

Summary:

Allows you to modify stored property data and variables.

Description:

CADtools allows you to store the drawing border-type properties of any drawing regardless of whether you have a title block or not. These can subsequently by displayed in Columbus and used for issuing. The dialogue box has a number of tabbed pages that are the same as those in the Drawing Setup Wizard. This reflects the way that you would typically use these tools i.e. The Wizard is typically used to create a title block and the Drawing Settings dialogue is used to make subsequent modifications.

Drawing Information and Job Details tabs:

These tabs allow you to view and change stored property data.

If your drawing contains an attributed Title block and the TitleBlocks section of your ProjectSettings.txt file has been set-up, the values in your title block will be shown and you can change them. Any change will be reflected in the title block.

Note: Standard CADtools title block mappings are already defined in the StandardSettings.txt which is part of the CADtools installation.

If your drawing does not contain a title block, you can still enter data here, which will subsequently be shown in Columbus.

Project managers can control which options appear in the "Status" combo box by editing the DwgStatus section in ProjectSettings.txt file.

Variables tab:

Many of CADtools' drawing routines size their symbols and text based on the plotting scale and units which you set here.

Reset Drawing variables to CADtools Standard sets the variables as defined in StandardVariablesDrawing.scr
Load CADtools Standard Linetypes loads CADtools.lin
Set “Standard” Text Style to CADtools defaults ensures that the "STANDARD" text style uses the font "romans" and sets its width to 0.65

Current Title Block tab:

Displays the standard property fields and the drawing attribute to which they are mapped. It also shows:

Category: The category to which the title block belongs.
Block Name: Is the name of the title block
Handle: Is AutoCAD's unique I.D. for the block instance.
Insertable: If YES, the title block can be inserted via the Drawing Setup Wizard. If NO, the details can be found by CADtools but you will not be given an option to insert this type of border.

This data is defined in your ProjectSettings.txt file.
