General

Plotting is achieved via the CADtools 'Main' or 'Local' toolbars.

 

The 'Main' toolbar provides direct access to JPG, PDF, PLT, PS, TIF, Windows and local office 'default' device.
The 'Local' toolbar provides direct access to local devices and is configured by the CAD Manager.

 

Note: The default folder for plot files is C:\CADtools_UStn\Plots

 

Pen tables

CADtools MicroStation V2.2 has consolidated on two new pen tables which are compatible with CADtools AutoCAD. The new tables are "CadSN_Default" and "CadSN_WYSIWYG".

• CadSN_Default renders all colours to black except for colours 250 - 255 which are grey scaled.Elements with a colour defined by a colour book are left in colour.

• CadSN_WYSIWYG leaves all colours as per screen EXCEPT colour 7 which is turned to black.

The previous pen tables are available for use. These are:
 
1) Black 2) Black-Colour 3) Black-Grey1 4) Black-Grey2 5) Colour

 

Bentley Adobe PDF printer configuration files  

CADtools MicroStation (v2004) now supports the new Bentley Adobe printer drivers. These are:

PDF - Black PDF + Black

PDF - Black Grey 1   PDF + Black Grey 1

PDF - Black Grey 2  PDF + Black Grey 2

PDF - Black Colour  PDF + Black Colour

PDF - Colour PDF + Colour

The differences between the plots drivers are 1) Pen tables attached, and 2) Features provided. The "-" and "+" features are listed as below:

Note: The maximum length of a PDF that can currently be created is 200" / 5080mm. MicroStation XM, when available, will support Acrobat 7.0 (PDF1.6) file format which can address 15,000,000" / 31,800,000cm.
