MicroStation XM Installation instructions for XP 64-bit

All installers for the latest CADtools supported Bentley Products have been updated to be 64bit compatible and are located in P:\Program Files\Oasys\CADtools_USTN\Local\Install

If the installers don't work you can follow the procedure below.

According to Bentley's Tech Spec's only Bentley XM products are certified to work on XP 64-bit or Vista. Currently, in order to get MicroStation working the install process needs to be done manually by following these steps:

•Install P:\Program Files\Oasys\CADtools_Ustn\Apps\Microstation_XM\Install\Pre-Reqs\msspp08090401en\Setup Prerequisites 08.09.04.01_en.exe

•Install P:\Program Files\Oasys\CADtools_Ustn\Apps\Microstation_XM\Program\MicroStation_08.09.04.88\MicroStation.msi

Note: Ensure program default installation folder is reset to C:\Program Files\Bentley_XM

Note: Ensure workspace default installation folder is reset to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley_XM\WorkSpace

•Copy P:\Program Files\Oasys\CADtools_Ustn\V8.9\Install\CADtools_Ustn\*.* to C:\CADtools_Ustn\*.*

Note: Ensure access is read / write to ALL

•Copy P:\Program Files\Oasys\CADtools_Ustn\V8.9\Install\CADtools_PC.cfg to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley_XM\WorkSpace\Standards\CADtools_PC.cfg

•Rename C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley_XM\WorkSpace\Standards\standards.cfg to standards.txt

•Create desk top icon by copying P\Program Files\Oasys\CADtools_Ustn\V8.9\Install\Desktop\CADtools Ustn.lnk to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\CADtools XM.lnk
