When ‘Structural’ elements are placed the cross section is orientated about the given ‘placement point’ (i.e center/centre, top/centre or similar). Care should be taken to choose an appropriate ‘placement point’ as this point is used as the origin for any text elements placed by resymbolisation rules (see Section 4.3 for more information). It is also important to note that the section size of the element is drawn relative to the placement point. For example when placing a column at the corner of a building it is important to ensure that your placement point is located at the matching corner. This then allows changes to the section size with out the column moving from its original location. Set up correctly a concrete model should be able to be changed quite quickly with very little cleaning up to do.
