CADtools Revit 1.4 includes the following changes/updates:
•Upgrade to underlying technologies to support future tools and upgrades
CADtools Revit 1.3 includes the following changes/updates:
•Supports for Revit 2014
•Batch Publish and Parameter Summary are moved from Labs to Ribbon
•Revit 2011 is not longer actively supported/develop but still available as legacy
CADtools Revit 1.2 includes the following changes/updates:
•Finder tool can help you to search for views or families by their partial name across multiple opened Revit files
•Content + Starter Kits is where you can assign which Revit content sets that are used in the project.
•Refresh Family Icons tool is useful to regenerate family thumbnail, which is useful for other tools such as Finder. Only thumbnail for families within the project will be generated.
•Introduction of new upgradable framework, with this framework, updates to CADtools Revit can be delived quicker and more direct to you.
oYou will not notice any changes to the normal usage, when there is an update, a notification banner will appear when you open a Revit file
oTo get the update after the notification appear, just restart Revit and the updates will be applied.
CADtools Revit 1.1.0 includes the following changes/updates:
•Extract Coordinate now includes the relative elevation of an element as well
•Numerous changes to the ExcelLink
oIf the path to a previously exported Excel file is changed, you can now 'relink' the Excel file to it's new location.
oThe 'Update Revit From Excel' dialog now offers more details such as when the Excel file was last modified
oData will be export to correct Excel cell formats based on the Revit parameter type (Numeric, Text etc)
oA number of bug fixes related to handling sorted or missing columns in Excel. (e.g if the GUID column is deleted)
•A new File & Replace tool that can be used to search and replace parameter values in Family instances and/or types.
CADtools Revit 1.0.1 includes the following changes/updates:
•Support for Revit 2013
•Support for Office 2010
•Batch Publish PDF's and DWF's
•Includes pdfExchange, BlueBeam support
•Some usability improvements
•View Manager - A tool for comparing views, delete views and viewing views relationship
•ExcelLink display export/import progress
•ExcelLink display the Excel file last modified date
•Family Library performance improvements
CADtools Revit 0.8.2 includes the following changes/updates:
•'CADtools Labs' - A mechanism for getting early access to new experimental tools
•Project Info Setup - A new tool for editing the project information (this replaces the Arup Office Address tool)
•ExcelLink - When selecting the source elements, a warning is given if you select 'All Symbols' or 'All Categories'
•Family Library - Resolved an intermittent problem of the Family Library window not re-appearing
•Sheet Creator - Fixed an problem where it always used the first title block instead of the selected one
CADtools Revit 0.8 includes the following changes/updates:
•New CADtools Revit ribbon menu
•Improved Revit Family Browser search speed
•A new tool for creating multiple sheets
•A new tool for finding the center and extents of an element (e.g. text)
•A new tool for managing imported raster images
•A new tool for creating revision cloud
CADtools Revit 0.7 includes the following changes/updates:
•Support for the Revit 2012 platform
•A new tool for setting the Arup Office Address in the titleblocks
•A new tool for incrementally numbering family instances
•The ExcelLink now stores paths to Excel as relative file paths
•A new beta tool for mapping nodes between Revit element and nodes data in Excel
CADtools Revit 0.6 includes the following changes and updates:
•ExcelLink - Updated user interface,added the ability to save templates, consolidating the commands
•Email support to development team - Allows user to request support from development team
•Oasys wiki and BIM wiki - Links to other information resources within Arup
•Internal application structure changes
CADtools Revit 0.5 includes the following changes and updates:
•Extract Curtain System - Allows user to extract the grid geometry of the curtain system without the need of host model.
•Extract Coordinate - Allows user in Revit 2011 to extract the element XYZ and also true northing and easting.
•ExcelLink - Now includes bi-directional capabilities. Update a Revit model from the linked Excel file.
•Revit Family Browser - Improved interface with better filtering, CAD standards for families, ability to add ratings and favourite families
•Improved ribbon menu for easier access.
CADtools Revit 0.4 includes a number of new noteworthy features:
•Revit 2011 support.
•Arup Revit Family Browser - Allows Arup user to search a central database or families, and upload families to share.
•DesignLink Manager - Allows you to assign Structural engineering data to a Revit conceptual model, and export it to GSA.
